Great, great grandfather, James Badasci emigrated from Europe to the United States in 1876. He traveled from New York to Marin County, CA and began working on a dairy farm. Upon working at the dairy, James diligently worked and saved up his money. With his savings, he moved to Cayucos, CA where he purchased a ranch and started his own dairy and farm.

                In 1885, he relocated to Switzerland, got married and went on to have five children. After some time, he returned to California, sold his property in Cayucos and moved to Armona, CA where he purchased a fruit and grape farm in 1895.

                To this day his fifth-generation family still farms grapes, cherries, plums and many varieties of fruits and nuts.
